Semester ticket
After re-registration / enrolment the digital semester ticket is made available to you by our provider digital h approximately two weeks before the start of the semester. You will receive an e-mail to your university e-mail address from the sender "ride-ticketing". The e-mail contains a link to download and activate the ticket. To download the ticket, please log in with your matriculation number[at]uni-wuppertal.de e-mail address, otherwise there can be problems with the download.
- First check StudiLöwe whether you are properly enroled or re-registered (including the booking of your semester payment - please note that the semester fee must be paid to the exact amount. ).
- Check whether your mailbox may be full. If this is the case, the e-mail cannot be delivered properly.
- Also, please check your spam folder.
- Check whether you may have forwarded your matriculation number e-mail address to another e-mail address. If this is the case, please update the e-mail address when forwarding.
ATTENTION: If you have checked the above points but still have not received the e-mail, you can retrieve the ticket via this link: https://app.ride-ticketing.de/guest-app/buw/login Please be sure to log in with your matriculation number[at]uni-wuppertal.de e-mail address, otherwise there will be problems retrieving the ticket.

You can integrate the ticket into the Campus App and/or use it via the familiar wallet apps in Apple and Android.

In your own interest, please always check whether the personal data listed on your ditgital ticket (name, first name, matriculation number etc.) is correct before using the ticket on public transport. Should any data be incorrect, please contact studsek[at]uni-wuppertal.de as soon as you notice.
The semester ticket is valid for the summer semester from 1st April and for the winter semester from 1st October.
You may be shown several tickets (e.g. for the previous semester, current semester and/or the coming semester). Please note that you should always use the ticket valid for the current period and also for integration into apps.
If you de-register or fail to re-register on time, the semester ticket becomes invalid and may no longer be used.
Any change of name will be taken into account accordingly in our campus management software. The semester ticket will be made available to you with a new name on the day after the change, while your previous ticket will be automatically cancelled and no longer be valid. Our service provider will send you another e-mail (sender: ride-ticketing) to your university e-mail address with a link to activate the ticket. Please click on this link to activate and download the ticket with the changed name. The fact that the cancelled ticket (with your old name) is displayed next to the active ticket is normal and serves to make it transparent that a ticket saved under the old name may no longer be used in wallet-apps (or as a print version) and that the ticket with the new name must be inserted in the wallet-apps.
Since the summer semester 2024, the Deutschlandsemesterticket has been valid for students at the University of Wuppertal, provided they are fully enrolled.
To find out about the scope of the Deutschlandsemesterticket, please visit the AStA website at www.asta-wuppertal.de/semesterticket-faq/. This website is constantly being updated, for example, it is no longer possible to take another person or bicycles on the Deutschlandsemesterticket!
Please also note: It is no longer possible to use the semester ticket as a ticket-to-print version - nationwide for all universities that offer the Deutschlandsemesterticket. Therefore, please use our campus app and/or the familiar Apple and Android wallet apps to store the ticket digitally, e.g. for travel checks.
